Priority Service Outcomes enhancing business process efficiency
In April 2004 the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM) published the list of Priority Service and Transformation Areas (known as Priority Outcomes) that all local authorities are required to deliver as part of their Implementing Electronic Government programme.
The published priorities list 73 outcomes to help councils to improve the delivery of services to citizens and business, enhance business process efficiency and embed t-government within the mainstream of organisational culture.
The proposed outcomes for each priority service and transformation area are defined as follows:
Required (29) specific online facilities that must be in place by the end of December 2005
Good (25) outcomes must be at Amber stage in IEG self-assessment terms by December 2005
Excellent (19) stretch targets for high performing local authorities
