National Project - Planning and Regulatory Services Online

The PARSOL project aims to help local authorities become more efficient and transparent in their planning and regulatory functions, using a variety of online tools. CAPS Solutions, with its UNI-form suite of products - is working to support and provide a range of tools for Licensing, Expert Systems, Development Monitoring, Enforcement, Consultation and Planning.

CAPS Solutions has had direct involvement in the PARSOL project throughout its pilot stages and now into the roll-out and implementation stages. Direct involvement has been with the Expert System and Licensing streams with Harborough District Council and involvement also with the PARSOL Exchange pilot work.

CAPS Solutions and its sister company ESRI (UK) offer a wide range of solutions related to Planning and Regulatory services. These solutions are based on the UNI-form and ArcGIS product suites. UNI-form is a complete range of integrated land and property solutions used by more than 240 local authorities. Modules include Gazetteer Management System for BS 7666, Local Land and Property Gazetteer creation and maintenance, Environmental Health, Trading Standards, Licensing, Development Control, Building Control, Local Land Charges, Estates Management, Contaminated Land, as well as Private Sector Housing and Elections.

In addition UNI-form PublicAccess enables live and dynamic access to data and process via the internet, currently for Planning, Building Control and Licensing teams. PublicAccess is also provided as part of a complete solution known as UNI-form e2e, this is available for Licensing, Planning and Building Control t-government requirements. It includes relevant aspects of e-form, document management and business process solutions as a completely integrated solution.
