UNI-form Connectors:
Integrating systems and extending access

No matter how integrated your core back-office systems are, it's not hard to think of other systems where integration could make a world of difference: national systems you exchange information with, and all the ways in which your back- and front-office systems must communicate.

How UNI-form Connectors can help

UNI-form Connectors and other connectivity capabilities help drive efficiency and service improvements, by enabling your UNI-form back-office systems to communicate with other systems, including:

Your public website

Third-party document-management systems

National systems, like the Planning Portal (including 1APP) and the National Land and Property Gazetteer (NLPG)

What is a connector?

A connector is a software product with a web-based application programming interface (API). Your IT department will use the appropriate connector to link the relevant UNI-form module to another application in the way that best meets your local authority's needs. Connectors ensure that data integrity is maintained and that the respective UNI-form and third-party systems are not affected by underlying changes in the other system.

Designed to enhance...

Use of the BS 7666-compliant data held in your UNI-form Gazetteer Management System (GMS), enabling you to validate incoming addresses and share accurate address information with national and local systems, including the NLPG hub.

Interaction with the Planning Portal, through the 1APP Connector, which deliver automated transfers of applications from the portal to UNI-form Planning.

Service-request handling, by enabling two-way access between your CRM system and the Service Requests sub-module that forms part of some UNI-form solutions.

UNI-form Planning, Building Control and Licensing, enabling you to create your own end-to-end processes.

UNI-form Trading Standards, through integration with Consumer Direct for more efficient handling of consumer complaints.

UNI-form Total Land Charges, through integration with the National Land Information Service (NLIS), reducing the staff time associated with local land charge searches.
