The UNI-form portfolio:
Common capabilities that transform efficiency and citizen interaction

As a suite of seamlessly integrated land, people and property solutions for local authorities, much of the power of the UNI-form portfolio is driven by a variety of features and capabilities that are common to many (or all) of the modules in the portfolio.

Single database of textual and spatial data

All UNI-form modules are underpinned by a single, industry-standard relational database, which includes spatial information and is BS 7666. Not only do you 'buy once and use many', you can also build a single source of high-quality gazetteer information that can be used to enhance processes and services beyond UNI-form.

Because text and spatial information are combined within a single system, the integrity of geographical information is assured without the additional complexity of having to link text records with spatial objects.

Using inbuilt geographical information systems (GIS) functionality, all UNI-form modules provide visual representations of this data in the form of maps, to help users assess and make decisions based on location-specific information.

Online engagement made easy

With PublicAccess for UNI-form, you can automatically publish live data from many UNI-form modules directly to the web. Up-to-date information is available to citizens the moment it's created or modified, enabling them to:

Browse documents, drawings and photographs.

See land and property information in map form.

Track an application's progress online.

Make comments or find decisions on applications.

Track appeals and find appeal decisions.

ConsulteeAccess performs a similar role for other stakeholders and partners, enabling you to give them secure, password-protected access to relevant privileged information from your UNI-form systems.

Connecting systems and extending access

A suite of connectivity capability enables you to integrate your UNI-form solutions seamlessly with your other core business systems and external applications. For example, you can:

Establish integrated access from UNI-form Planning to the Planning Portal, including automated interaction with 1APP.

Exchange data between UNI-form Total Land charges and the National Land Information Service (NLIS) hub.

Connect the UNI-form Gazetteer Management System with the National Land and Property Gazetteer (NLPG) hub.

Give your CRM system, your electoral registration system, or e-forms on your website access to the data stored in your UNI-form database, for address validation.

Comprehensive reporting right across your solution

You can add cross-module reporting functionality to your UNI-form solution with UNI-form QueryWriter. It enables you to create the reports you need in the format you want, bringing instant efficiency gains to report generation and ensuring timely dissemination of information.

Built-in wizards make it quick and easy to construct the fields for your report; and a choice of output options lets you print reports, share them by email or export them to other desktop applications.

Integration with Frontline CRM

If you have a Lagan Frontline CRM system, the UNI-form/Frontline Integration Suite (UFIS) enables your UNI-form solution to work hand in hand with your CRM system, so that call-handling staff can handle queries, complaints and fault reports more effectively.

We can also integrate other CRM systems with UNI-form modules (see 'Connecting systems' above).

Synchronised diaries

An automated diary function across UNI-form will help your officers schedule inspections and other tasks. All appointments created within UNI-form will also appear automatically in the officer's Microsoft Outlook Calendar.

Officers can manage their time using whichever system is most convenient for them, and see all their commitments in a single place. If the officer amends the Microsoft Outlook Calendar entry, the corresponding UNI-form Calendar entry will be updated in parallel, and vice versa. Restrictions can be imposed to prevent users changing diary entries.

Storing multimedia files

UNI-form lets users directly link and view all types of multimedia files, including scanned documents, photographs, video clips and sound files. These can be linked to appropriate records (whether a property, person, business, application or other record).

UNI-form can also be fully integrated with digital image processing and document management systems (See 'Connecting systems' above).
