National Project - Working with Business
The Working with Business National Project has been developed to provide local authorities with a framework within which they can develop and improve the online provision of information and transactional services for local businesses. The Single Business Account is identified as a 'good' outcome under the recent Priority Service Outcomes for implementation by April 2006.
Implementation of the Single Business Account will: allow businesses to be allocated a unique identifier that will enable secure transactions between the business and the local authority
support transactions between local authorities and businesses conducted through face to face, website, and contact centre activity
enable a business to access information about its transactions with the council (for example, to check progress on orders for services or property searches)
allow local authorities to collect and review data on businesses in their area
CAPS Solutions has partnered with the leading Local Government CRM solution provider Lagan, to help local authorities meet the priority service outcomes for implementing a single business account.
