As specialists in spatial data and geographic information systems (GIS), both ESRI (UK) and CAPS Solutions have worked for many years to help customers respond proactively to the need for joined-up services.  ESRI (UK) has a broad range of experience and solutions to help Councils deliver the priority outcomes which necessitate the use of GIS.

This mandatory responsibility will empower citizens with access to a wide range of local information that is not necessarily related to any specific business process such as planning or licensing. LocalView is a new product offering a fast-track method of delivering this outcome. MapsDirect Local Government offers a mechanism for councils who prefer to outsource their services.  ESRI (UK) Consultancy Services have helped deliver many such web-sites

The Swindon and Wiltshire GIS pathfinder proved the value location when capturing envirocrime information. Many other councils such as LB Tower Hamlets have integrated GIS and CRM to support this process.
